Celebrating a Successful Fall Financial Education Series at Fourth Plain Forward

We’re excited to share that our Fall Financial Education 4-part workshop series at Fourth Plain Forward has wrapped up, and it was a tremendous success! Over the course of several weeks, participants learned valuable financial skills, including basic money concepts, budgeting, credit management, and understanding banking services.

What made this series truly special was our commitment to making it accessible for everyone. We held Wednesday evening workshops in Spanish, ensuring our Spanish-speaking community members could learn comfortably in their preferred language. For English speakers, we offered Saturday morning sessions. We believe that everyone deserves the opportunity to improve their financial knowledge, and these sessions helped break down language barriers.

This series wouldn’t have been possible without the generous sponsorship of Rivermark. As a token of appreciation, participants were given the chance to open a Certificate of Deposit (CD) account at Rivermark, helping them jump-start their savings journey. It’s not every day that a financial institution offers such a personal and practical reward!

Looking ahead

We’re excited about what’s coming next. On January 25th, Rivermark will be sponsoring a special Saturday morning workshop for 10 lucky participants. This one-day event will focus on budgeting and credit improvement—two essential building blocks for long-term financial health. Registration for this exclusive workshop opens on January 1st, so be sure to keep an eye on our social media channels for more details on how to sign up.

As we celebrate the success of our recent series, we want to thank everyone who participated, as well as the dedicated facilitators who helped bring these classes to life. We’re proud to see how many community members are taking steps toward a more secure financial future.

Stay tuned for more opportunities to learn, grow, and take control of your financial life. Your future is worth the investment!
